Meet the team: at Karpet Kingdom, we’re proud of the people behind the floors and this month we’re putting the spotlight on Tyler Shilton, our Coventry Store Manager and Assistant Area Manager who has been with us for 13 years.

Tyler’s known for his friendly approach, expert advice, and genuine passion for helping customers find their perfect flooring. We sat him down for a quick-fire Q&A to get to know the man behind the measuring tape…

What’s your favourite part of helping customers choose their flooring?

“The sense of achievement when you find the perfect carpet for them.”

If you could carpet any famous building, which one would it be and why?

“Anfield – Liverpool’s stadium. That would be a dream job!”

What’s your top tip for anyone choosing flooring for the first time?

“Take samples home to see what they look like in the correct lighting – it makes a huge difference.”

Tea, coffee or something stronger after a busy day in the showroom?

“Generally, water (boring, I know), but I’ll never say no to the odd glass of red wine!”

What song would you put on while laying the perfect roll of carpet?

“Queen – Bohemian Rhapsody. You can’t beat a classic!”
